Tips, explanation and stepwise instructions on how to get the most out of your keyword report.
Personally, I hate to waste time trying to figure out some small detail that the company which made the software or report assumed it was too elementary to explain.
By making a statistic analysis on what millions of searchers are looking for in a specific area, you will soon find that you need a methodic approach to sort the data.
This is not necessarily a big problem if you, like me, made the reports yourself. The problem is that the reports aren't made to be used by their developers, but more frequently by people in marketing and website creators.
So, as I see it you have 3 options:
- 1. Ask your keyword researcher to give you an exclusive list.
- 2. Learn excel in detail.
- 3. Read a document that explains how to sort the keywords in an easy, methodic and illustrated approach.
The problem with option number one is, all other factors being equal, that the ones who have a big keyword list will do a lot better than the ones with a small exclusive list.
Option two isn't that bad if it wasn't for the boss wanting to have some work done right away with meaningful results and the employees preferring to follow a sexier course.
The problem with option number three is that it isn't much fun to make documentation not to mention that it requires a lot of time to make a thorough documentation. That is of course not an excuse, so feel free to download the documentation.
